Rooflines of the Smithsonian Castle and the Arts & Industries Building late one afternoon. The airplane makes a nice counterpoint to Renwick's 1855 Norman design and Cluss & Schulze's 1881 exhibition hall built to house the displays from the Centennial Exposition of 1876.
