Description
FREEFALL STILL LIFE. Flowers from the tulip poplar are treats on walks in May and June, and in the fall the leaves carpet the lawn in gold. Tulip poplars are actually a member of the Magnolia family. The state tree of Kentucky, it is also known as the canoe tree as Native Americans used it to make dugouts and is the source of a gourmet honey.
