Large, white gardenia flowers bloom amidst lush green leaves, against a vibrant, textured background. The soft yellow centers of the flowers enhance their delicate beauty. Fragrant gardenia blossoms have been used traditionally for boutonnières in formal evening dress as well as for leis in Polynesia. In the Victorian language of flowers, gardenias signify a secret or untold love.

About Gina Harrison
Gina Harrison is a NC artist, graphic designer, musician, and arts ed advocate. She received her BFA in studio art, with an emphasis in printmaking, from UNC-Chapel Hill. Her recent work has been exhibited in Pittsboro, Durham, Cary, Raleigh, Chapel Hill, and Wilmington, NC. She served as president of the Chatham Artists Guild and is a past president of the Chatham Arts Council. She recently completed two terms as a board member of Arts NC, the statewide advocacy organization for the arts.
