Description
PRELUDE IN b MINOR. 2019. Chopin's b minor prelude, from the set of 24 Preludes, Opus 28 is a short work many intermediate piano students learn. The left hand melody is described as cello-like, and the repeating b in the right hand is sometimes referred to as a tolling bell. But I always associate this piece with a melancholy, rainy twilight. [Hold the pedal at the end as Chopin wrote it, so the tones and dissonances shimmer together in puddles and mist.]

It is evocative of the electronic depiction of audio in many ways - and the natural world as well. This is a pod choice for me in the Best of Minimalism group.

Gina, so beautiful your erudite description...the discord is melodic too, b/c of Chopin's ear,his unique balance...and so,too, your beautiful misty 'expression'....compliments,fv...VIVA
