QUEEN ANNE'S LACE. (2021). Named for Queen Anne of England who was an expert lace maker. Legend has it she pricked her finger and the pink center is from a drop of her blood. Also known as wild carrot, it was eaten by the Romans and came to the Americas from Europe.

About Gina Harrison
Gina Harrison is a NC artist, graphic designer, musician, and arts ed advocate. She received her BFA in studio art, with an emphasis in printmaking, from UNC-Chapel Hill. Her recent work has been exhibited in Pittsboro, Durham, Cary, Raleigh, Chapel Hill, and Wilmington, NC. She served as president of the Chatham Artists Guild and is a past president of the Chatham Arts Council. She recently completed two terms as a board member of Arts NC, the statewide advocacy organization for the arts.
