SCHERZO. 2019. From the Italian, meaning joke, or jest, a scherzo is typically the 3rd movement of a symphony or sonata. Here, this is the 3rd variation of source material used to create February Still Life and Ikebana Humoresque. And it appropriately describes the whimsical, light-hearted nature of this floral abstract.
About Gina Harrison
Gina Harrison is a NC artist, graphic designer, musician, and arts ed advocate. She received her BFA in studio art, with an emphasis in printmaking, from UNC-Chapel Hill. Her recent work has been exhibited in Pittsboro, Durham, Cary, Raleigh, Chapel Hill, and Wilmington, NC. She served as president of the Chatham Artists Guild and is a past president of the Chatham Arts Council. She recently completed two terms as a board member of Arts NC, the statewide advocacy organization for the arts.
