SAPPHIRE VALLEY. 2018. Intense blues, greens, and yellows flow across the page, creating a valley of vibrant jewel colors in some mythical landscape. Although blue is the best known color of sapphire, so-called "fancy" sapphires can be found in shades of yellow, orange, green, brown, purple & violet. Sapphires of Burma and Sri Lanka are particularly sought after.
About Gina Harrison
Gina Harrison is a NC artist, graphic designer, and arts ed advocate. She received her BFA in studio art, with an emphasis in printmaking, from UNC-Chapel Hill. Her recent work has been exhibited in Pittsboro, Durham, Cary, Raleigh, Chapel Hill, and Wilmington, NC. She served as president of the Chatham Artists Guild from 2021 through 2022. She is past president of the Chatham Arts Council and currently serves as a board member of Arts NC, the statewide advocacy organization for the arts.
