Detail of bearded Iris from my NC garden. This hybrid has been blooming for two years. Standards are the upright petals and fall the lower ones. The fleur-de-lis, associated with France, is a stylized iris.
About Gina Harrison
Gina Harrison is a NC artist, graphic designer, and arts ed advocate. She received her BFA in studio art, with an emphasis in printmaking, from UNC-Chapel Hill. Her recent work has been exhibited in Pittsboro, Durham, Cary, Raleigh, Chapel Hill, and Wilmington, NC. She served as president of the Chatham Artists Guild from 2021 through 2022. She is past president of the Chatham Arts Council and currently serves as a board member of Arts NC, the statewide advocacy organization for the arts.
